You look across the whole portfolio. You make sure the projects we choose fit the capacity we have, that teams know what they depend on, and that patterns across projects and platforms get noticed.
Responsibilities
- Keep the idea log, and run the intake review and T-shirt estimation.
- Bring the capacity forecast to portfolio prioritization, and draw the cut line.
- Lead resource and capacity planning each quarter, including the Run allowance.
- Run the Quarterly Planning session and own the dependency board.
- Track actions from post-incident reviews and Platform Health reviews across teams, and spot repeat problems.
Where you show up
Change: Discovery. You run idea intake and T-shirt estimation, and you bring capacity to portfolio prioritization.
Change: Planning. This is your home. You lead capacity planning and Quarterly Planning, and you check dependencies in every milestone plan.
Run. You join Sev 1 incidents to manage cross-team dependencies and keep Business Executives informed. You track review actions at the monthly Platform Health review, and you turn its findings into Run allowance recommendations.
Your top tasks
- Plan resources and capacity 4 weeks before each quarter.
- Run the Quarterly Planning session in the last week before each quarter.
- Prioritize the portfolio every month, with the Product Managers.
- Track review actions at the monthly platform health review.
